Fun Experience! This is my second charter with Captain Joe. He is the best and most skilled fishing guide I've ever had. He put my wife and I on the fish. We caught some very nice red snappers and trigger fish. This was a great experience and we will continue to come back!

We will be back! For my fiancé’s 40th birthday, I wanted to gift him something unforgettable—a day offshore with Fired Up Fishing Charters. When I first booked the trip, the forecast promised sunny skies and calm waters, perfect for a celebration on the ocean. But as the days ticked closer, the weather took a turn. A cold front was rolling in, threatening to put our offshore adventure at risk.
Early in the week, Captain Chris reached out to give me a heads-up about the strong winds and colder temps. He was honest and upfront, explaining that while the offshore trip might be too rough, we could still go shark fishing closer to shore where the waters would hopefully be calmer. I appreciated his transparency—it made me feel like we were in good hands.
The day before our charter, Debra checked in to confirm the trip details and update us on the weather. She was wonderful to work with—friendly, professional, and flexible. We decided to pivot and go shark fishing instead, excited for whatever the day would bring.
After flying in from Michigan to Cape Canaveral, we arrived at the marina the next morning, where Captain Joe greeted us right in the parking lot. He explained that the water conditions had worsened overnight, and the chances of catching anything were slim. But that’s the nature of fishing—you never know until you try. We were ready to take the risk.
We were the only charter out on the water that morning, which really showed how unpredictable the conditions were. Captain Joe took us to the first spot, but the fish just weren’t biting—not even a nibble. You could see him thinking hard, strategizing the best move. After a while, he decided to try one more spot.
Most of the trip was spent simply soaking in the sun and the peacefulness of the ocean. Then, out of nowhere, we got a bite—and it was a big one! My fiancé spent about ten intense minutes reeling in this monster, with Captain Joe coaching him every step of the way, only stepping in when absolutely necessary so the catch would be all his. When the Sand Tiger Shark finally surfaced, it was a breathtaking moment—one we’ll never forget.
This trip turned out to be one of the most exciting and fun experiences we’ve ever had. The entire Fired Up Fishing Charters team was amazing—transparent, supportive, and genuinely invested in making our day special, even when the odds were against us. A huge thank you to Captain Joe for his dedication and skill.

Awesome charter! Cant say enough good things about them. Everything thing was straight to the point, scheduling with Chris and Debra was made seamless. They properly set expectations on weather and over delivered. Captain Joe was a riot and kept the fish coming in, he was knowledgeable and got us our limit on kings plus a sail fish and a few miscellaneous fish. We did a 3/4 trip so we could catch a tee time but I highly recommend you do a full day and get the full experience. I know we’ll definitely make sure to do that next time. From Upstate NY and choose Fired Up Charters for our first deep sea fishing experience. Debra was great coordinating everything and always available for any questions we may have had. Couldn’t have asked for a better captain than Captain Joe. He was down to earth, taught us a lot, really knew what he was doing and a joy to be around.
